Pure Air 4 is the newest version of the Pure Air range.
For an entry lever scooter it is a great all rounder. Fully aluminium frame reduces the weight comparted to the Pure Air 1&2 models. Although sharing many parts with the Pure Air 3, some significant internal modifications have taken place to make this a very reliable run a round.
With an easy folding mechanism the scooter can be folded and carried very easily up stairs and tucked away under a desk. The Air 4 has an 25mile range so the battery is not enormous which reduces weight but still keeps it practical for the majority of users. The Air4 has an 18 mile range and slightly less power for comparison.
The motor is a powerful 500W motor peaking at 900W, which really should be the standard for light weight scooters but isn't a lot of the time with other brands. This distinction is important as it means you are less likely to struggle on hills, indeed this scooter does climb hills well. The pure Air 4 pro range have a unique centering mechanism which pulls the handlebars back into the forward position so as to keep you on a strait line after turning. Another unique feature is the indicators, they have been placed in the ends of the handlebars and aimed forward and rearward for maximum visibility. Coupled with the bright headlight/ taillight, you will be seen, and be able to see in low light environments.
The Pure Air 4 pro has tubeless Chaoyang 10"2.5 tyres (we stock) which are of a higher quality than post scooters in this price range. Put simply this means less punctures and a better ride quality. As with any 10" tyre, you are less likely to have problems when unexpectedly met with a pot hole.
Safety - brakes come in with a rear disk brake and a front drum brake so you can be sure you can stop quickly if needed. As with all other scooters the motor will turn into a kinetic brake when the brake levers are applied. With an IP65 waterproof rating, this scooter should be fine in UK weather. We wouldn't recommend riding in torrential sideways rain however but that's just from a safety aspect and we would say that to all our customers regardless of the scooter.
Another nicety is that Pure is probably the only UK scooter company out there, so they actually have a parts supply chain for when things go wrong.
